Integrated Career Education Next Steps

A faculty committee comprised of representatives from each college and Career Services has been formed to help lead this initiative. The group will begin by gathering information from departments about existing efforts to integrate a career reflection activity in a 200- or 300-level course in each major. This inventory will be used for sharing best practices and reporting on the strategic plan.

Departments should complete the Midpoint Reflection Activity Inventory Form below for each major they offer. The process of enhancing or developing a career reflection activity in every major will be ongoing throughout the 2022-2023 academic year. The aim is to meet the strategic plan goal related to integrating career in the curriculum by the 2023-2024 school year.

Midpoint Reflection Activity Inventory Form

Departments: complete a separate form for each major you offer. Use this form to:

  • Identify existing career-focused reflection activity(ies) in a 200/300 level course in your major, OR:
  • Indicate that you do not have an existing career reflection activity in a 200/300 level course in your major, and that you plan to integrate one in the 2023-24 academic year.

A faculty committee consisting of representatives from each college will offer feedback to departments as needed. Career Services will lead efforts to support departments in integrating career education into their curriculum.
