Researching a developing new drug is expensive and time consuming. Drs. Lisa Warner’s and Owen McDougal’s research team collaboration recently published “Repurposing Drugs to Treat Heart and Brain Illness” in the June 2021 edition of Pharmaceuticals from MDPI. In this paper, the authors propose to repurpose drugs with FDA approval for different illnesses using computational screening methods.
