Congratulations to lab services coordinator Thaaer Muhammed, our August 2022 Employee of the Month!
Thaaer is a quiet, hardworking, supportive member of our department who adapts to the changing landscape to make sure our curriculum is delivered. He does what needs to be done, takes on whatever the day may bring, and makes himself available to assist anyone that needs a hand. I am delighted to recognize and acknowledge Thaaer for the work he has done in the month of August that has prepared us to teach many sections of lower division labs in the language arts building, shift labs to new rooms to accommodate renovation of SCNC 305-308, and maintain a positive, can-do attitude throughout.
Thaaer stepped up to teach online 111L, while still doing his LSC job, during an extreme time when two teaching labs are under renovation. This situation was exacerbated due to the renovation occurring in the rooms that host the vast majority of the classes Thaaer helps coordinate – and with limited access to normal coordination! Thaaer has thrived during this time of chaos, and risen to the challenge.
He is a quiet champion for our students and instructors. He represents the hardworking core of our department that allows the rest of us to do our jobs well. I am thankful for the effort and quality that Thaaer puts forth, because it is his effort that allows us to promote student success within the department.
