Dr. Chris Saunders has been promoted to Associate Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Boise State University. Saunders has taught a wide range of chemistry classes and has been a leader in general chemistry curriculum changes while serving as a clinical faculty member of the department. During his employment, Chris has participated in ASSERT (Aligning Stakeholders and Structures to Enable Research Transformation), a major initiative of President Dr. Marlene Tromp (see https://www.boisestate.edu/ifits/faculty/assert/ for more details). He also volunteered for department administrative reporting duties including PAR and ACS annual reports. His new duties will include meeting coordination, concurrent enrollment, strategic initiatives, committee coordination, course equivalencies, student issues, employee soundboard, and acting as chair proxy in the absence of the department chair. Congratulations Chris!
