Guido Giuntini, Steven Hall discuss property taxes on Boise State Public Radio

Economics Department lecturers Guido Giuntini and Steven Hall recently conducted a study related to Ada County’s increase in property taxes. The two economists were featured on Boise State Public Radio show Idaho Matters, as part of its “Growing Pains” series, to discuss their findings.

“The economists used U.S. Census Bureau numbers to look at 2012 and 2018 incomes and property values in Ada County,” the article states. “And they found that for the average homeowner, the value of their house went up 87 percent in six years. And the average income only went up 22 percent.”
