Boise Applied Biomechanics of Infants (BABI) Lab

Mission

Welcome to the Boise Applied Biomechanics of Infants (BABI) Lab! We study how babies move and use their muscles, and what that means for musculoskeletal development and safety in commercial infant gear.

Research

For our research we develop new and innovative testing methods using electromyography sensors (EMG), a motion capture system, and other mechanical testing equipment developed in house.

Culture

Our lab goal is to improve the health and wellness of babies through biomechanics. We are creative, resourceful, hard-working, and we are passionate about making a difference in our community. We ask questions, make a lot of mistakes, celebrate successes, and laugh often!
