Industry Info Sessions

Industry Info Sessions are a special one-on-one opportunity for your business to come in and present to our CM students. Along with presenting on your company, we invite you to share a special topic, unique project, new technology, etc. with our CM students. This is a unique opportunity where you can interact with potential employees and hold follow-up interviews with targeted candidates.

Information Sessions Starting at $500 and are scheduled M-Th, 5:00-8:00 pm.

How does it work?

Reservations are made through the College of Engineering Career Success Coach Leandra Aburusa, laburusa@boisestate.edu, (208) 426-4432.  Information sessions are held Monday through Thursday and must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance. Information sessions are typically 60 minutes long and are in a classroom location on campus. They are generally held between 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., however you can coordinate with Leandra if a different time-period is desired.

To make your request, please email Leandra with your preferred date and time.  You will receive an email within 24-48 hours after submission with the next steps.  Prior to the Info Session, you will need to send a promotional flyer that will be posted and emailed to majors specified (Construction Management, Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, etc.).

Tips for greater student interaction

  • In your flyer, highlight a short teaching topic that you would like to share with the students during the info session. The most successful info sessions include interesting topics more than just information about your organization. Topics such as unique construction practices, how to land your first job, new technologies, unique case studies, current demands, etc. will get more interest from the students.
  • Food is always welcomed and appreciated by the students but not required.
