Boise State University Freshman attends Oculus Workshop at Facebook

On April 12-13, Boise State Computer Science freshman, Tavi Kohn, attended the Oculus NextGen workshop at the Facebook HQ campus in Menlo Park California along with Dr. Steve Cutchin.   Tavi traveled to Facebook HQ to present his computer graphics virtual reality application.

Dr. Steve Cutchin of the Boise State Computer Science department was invited to participate in the Oculus NextGen program.  Participation involved the donation of ten Oculus Rifts to the University, participation on the Oculus NextGen Group livestream Facebook page and attendance at the annual Oculus NextGen Workshop at Facebook HQ in April 2018.

The Oculus Rifts are being used in the Boise State VIP-VR Immersive Virtual Reality course to give undergraduate students the opportunity to develop new and experimental virtual reality experiences as part of their undergraduate education.
