Bio
Mason Vail brings nine years of industry experience, over eight years of teaching experience, and a multidisciplinary perspective into the classroom. After completing a biology degree and teaching biology labs at Northwest Nazarene University for three years, Mason completed a second degree in computer science and worked for the next three years as a software engineer at Micron Technology, in Boise. He started his Master’s program at Boise State University, graduating in 2006. For six years, he worked for Crowley Davis Research, Inc., a biologically-inspired computing startup in Eagle, ID, developing a simulation platform for biological modeling and research. In 2011, Mason returned to teaching as a computer science lecturer at Boise State.
