Course Repeats

Boise State University’s policy on course repeats (Policy #3190) details the rules governing the times that students can repeat courses for academic credit.  It is each student’s responsibility to make sure that they understand how this policy impacts them.

Students who have repeated a course and still not passed are required to complete a “Request to Exceed Maximum Course Registration” form. This form requests approval by the student’s advisor, as well as the chair of the department offering the course. Engineering Plus students will see Dr. Amy Moll to discuss a request to exceed maximum course registration. We may also ask you to complete an Academic Recovery Plan designed to help you make positive changes.

Our goal is to help you be successful. If you find you are having trouble with courses, talk to your advisor to find out what resources are available to help you. Proactive work early on can prevent many problems later.
