Our group investigates how changes to the cellular mechanical environment—arising from exercise, injury, aging, disuse, or microgravity—regulate structural adaptations and fate-decision mechanisms in cells. In parallel, we engineer model systems that recapitulate physiological and pathological tissue environments and develop organoid platforms that bridge fundamental mechanobiology with translational applications in health, disease, and biotechnology, while accelerating discoveries at the interface of biology, engineering, and computing.
