Student Participation sought for the Undergraduate Research Showcase 2023

Student and professor working on mechatronics project

The annual Undergraduate Research Showcase (URS) is a forum for Boise State undergraduate students from all academic disciplines to share their research with the Boise State community, and for the community to recognize and celebrate these students’ achievements.

The 2023 URS will take place on Friday, April 21, and Monday, April 24, 2023. On April 21, there will be a synchronous online student poster fair and April 24 will feature in-person student lightning talks and performances along with a reception honoring all of our student researchers and their mentors.

Faculty members are encouraged to talk to students this term about presenting their Fall 2022 projects, and to make the URS a part of their spring 2023 courses. We suggest encouraging student engagement by including participation or attendance on your syllabi. Additionally, each faculty is eligible to nominate one student to deliver a lightning talk or performance.

Important dates:

Friday, February 10: Deadline for faculty nomination for a lightning talk presentation or performance

Friday, March 31: Deadline for students to submit abstract and poster presentations
