Hosted by the Sustainability Practices and Research Center (SPARC) at Weber State University, the ISS is a lively gathering of hundreds of sustainability professionals, industry practitioners, policy experts, educators, and students from across Utah and the Intermountain West. This coming year, the ISS will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, with affiliated workshops on Friday, March 22.

2 Days, 45+ Speakers, 400+ Participants

Poster submissions will be accepted now through Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Posters must be based on a project for a class, internship, or independent study that relates to sustainability. Poster topics may include:

  • Sustainability Research
  • Green Design
  • Sustainability in Action
  • Sustainability Education
  • Sustainability in Creative Arts & Humanities

Students will be notified of acceptance by Friday, March 1, 2024.

Participating in the ISS gives students the opportunity to present their work, build their resumes, and bring posters to professionals in the sustainability field. Students whose posters are selected to be a part of the event will receive free registration and be entered to win prizes.

If you have any questions about the poster contest, please visit the Weber State University website for the rubric or contact me at shaelynnwood@weber.edu.
