Mechanical Engineering Club

The Mechanical Engineering club is a group of students devoted to gaining hands-on experience in their respective fields of engineering. We strive to apply to what we’ve learned in the classroom to our organization and future club projects. Finally, we hope to develop strong mentor relationships to maintain involvement and continuation in our field of study.

NASA Micro-g NExT Challenge

While offered as a VIP course, this group works on projects presented by NASA each year to support the space program. Students on the team will work to write a proposal, a test equipment data package, and a final report to NASA. You will also work on outreach to local schools and communities promoting NASA and STEM, empowering those who will follow in your footsteps.

NASA SUITS Program

Through the NASA S.U.I.T.S. (Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students) Design Challenge, Boise State’s team had the opportunity to test software for an augmented reality helmet-based display for astronauts at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. See what the next challenge will be!

Phi Sigma Rho

Phi Sigma Rho is a sorority for women in engineering and technical science majors. We are a group of women who want to succeed academically but are also interested in the social aspects of a traditional sorority. In other words, its the best mix of school and sorority life for women in engineering and technical science majors. Eligible majors include: Chemistry, Civil Engineering. Computer Science, Construction Management, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Kinesiology with a Biomedical emphasis, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Physics
