Thomas V. Trotter
Thomas Trotter has served as a credentialed practitioner in counseling, school psychology, and leadership, primarily in the public schools and at the university level. Dr. Trotter holds a Ph.D. with an emphasis in Counseling & School Psychology, with additional degrees in applied Educational Psychology, Special Education, and Sociology. He has over 35 years of experience in higher education as an instructor, program coordinator, and department head.
He has also served in a leadership capacity in the human services arena, including administrative positions responsible for the management of a variety of Special Services programs. He was a university counseling center director and in a previous professional life, retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve. Lately, he has become involved in promoting Community Livability and Age Friendly Communities via AARP’s comprehensive system of evaluation, strategic planning, and implementation.
