AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Training

Welcome to Boise State!

Now that you’re a Bronco, we have two online courses to make sure you’re safe and successful on campus.

All incoming students under the age of 21 are required to complete AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention. If you haven’t completed both of these courses by the deadline specified in your notification email, you’ll have a HOLD placed on your my.boisestate.edu account and you won’t be able to register for future classes. (Scroll down for more information about HOLDS).

Each course takes about 2 to 2.5 hours. You can work at your own pace from any computer with Google Chrome or Firefox with a Flash player. You can leave and return at any time to the page where you left off. These courses will help you be a healthy, responsible Bronco who lives our Shared Values.

Frequently Asked Questions

Holds

What happens if I do not complete this program by the deadline?

  • If you choose not to complete the program by the deadline, a HOLD will be placed on your future registration ability. The HOLD will remain in place until the program is complete.
  • A HOLD means you will not be able to add any classes until you complete the program.

I have completed the program but still have a HOLD on my account? Who should I contact?

  • To pass the program, you must achieve an 80% or higher on Part 1 of the program.
  • Email DOSeducation@boisestate.edu to verify you have completed Part 1 of the program. Please include your full name and Student ID # within your email.
  • Your request will be reviewed for verification and your HOLD will be lifted upon completion.

I'm worried that I can't register for classes. I completed Part 1 but it says I must wait for Part 2?

  • As long as you complete Part 1 your HOLD can be lifted which will allow you to register for classes. For further information, feel free to email DOSeducation@boisestate.edu.
  • Part 2 is optional.

Do I need to do this?

What if I don't feel the information in this program is useful to me?

  • We recognize that not all students on campus drink or engage in risky behavior. However, the program also covers campus policies and resources from which all students can benefit, including by-stander intervention strategies students can use to assist friends who may be engaging in concerning behavior.

I completed a similar program at another school; do I still have to complete AlcoholEdu?

  • While Boise State understands that transfer students may have completed similar programs at other universities, Boise State has no way to verify this. Boise State also has its own policies and campus resources that all students should know. It’s for these reasons you’ll still need to complete the program.

Technical support

Who do I contact for technical support while completing the program?

  • Please refer to the Troubleshooting Guide (found here), or reach out to the 24/7 tech support service at support.everfi.com so they may assist you.
  • Live tech support is available Monday through Friday from 7am – 8pm EST. Outside of these hours, you can submit technology and course issues via support.everfi.com.

I’m a new student under the age of 21, but I haven’t received a link. Who do I contact?

  • Email DOSeducation@boisestate.edu. You need to provide your name, Student ID # and school email address. We’ll add you to the system and you’ll receive an email granting you access.
