SDF Cross-College Implementation Group
The School for the Digital Future seeks faculty members from all disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences for an implementation group in the 2026-2027 academic year.
The implementation group will engage in structured listening, dialogue, and reflection with departments across COAS. Then, they will work collaboratively to shape recommendations that reflect what departments need, where opportunities for collaboration exist, and how SDF can best serve departments and the college in AI, digital literacy, and career readiness.
The group will be guided by a simple set of questions: What would you like to see SDF doing two years from now? How can SDF help build on its mission and vision in ways that bridge opportunities for departments in the college?

Approach
- Fall meetings will focus on listening, dialogue and reflection; gathering departmental input on programming needs; and career readiness priorities.
- Spring meetings will shift toward synthesis, identifying shared opportunities across departments and shaping them into concrete recommendations for the school.
Committee structure
- 8–10 College of Arts and Sciences faculty, reflective of the breadth of disciplines within the college
- 2 School for the Digital Future representatives
- Led by Kelly Arispe, School for the Digital Future Launch Director
- Open nominations, including self-nominations. Faculty from the humanities, social sciences, STEM and arts are encouraged to apply. All nominations require chair/director approval.
- Year-long cadence, AY 2026–27
- Meeting expectations: bimonthly, one-hour meetings (in person with remote access available)
- Fall and Spring semester commitment. $500 per semester can be issued as a stipend or as professional development funds.
