PhD Dissertation Successfully Defended! – Joel Brown

On 18 January, 2012,  Mr. Joel Brown, candidate for the degree of PhD in Geophysics, working under Dr. John Bradford, presented and successfully defended his dissertation – Using georadar to non-destructively map the in-situ hydrologic properties of snow, firn, and glacial ice.  Other committee members included Dr. James McNamara and Dr. H.P. Marshall from the Department of Geosciences, and Dr. Joel Harper from the University of Montana.  The External Examiner was Dr. Colin Zelt from Rice University.
