Allison joined the TRIO team as the director in January 2021.  Allison has a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Interpreting and a Master’s degree in Counseling.  Prior to joining TRIO, she worked in the Educational Access Center implementing accommodations for students with disabilities.  Allison has 12 years of higher education experience, she is a professional counselor and student success coach. She is passionate about helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds achieve their academic goals, develop lifelong learning strategies, and become productive members of the community. Allison believes with proper support and services all students can successfully obtain a college degree and reach their desired career goals.

Jami has always been passionate about social justice and social change. She believes every person is unique in their own way and that every person deserves equal resources and opportunities needed to succeed in life. Jami received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work at Boise State. With this degree, Jami will be able to enhance human well-being and help all people meet basic human needs. She also believes that it is important for people to make their own decisions and manage their own lives to develop self-determination. Jami is looking forward to working with the TRIO ACES team, as well as helping the students that are a part of the program achieve their academic and life goals.
