Peer Mentor Program

Hi everyone! My name is Roz Al Janabi (She/Her/Hers). I am a Junior at Boise State University. I am majoring in Biology with an emphasis in cellular, molecular, and biomedical. I am also minoring in Business. I am on the Pre-medical pathway. I am part of the Honors College and a peer mentor for the honors college. I am part of TRIO STEM Scholars, Biology Club, and Future Physicians Club. I am involved in undergraduate research in the Biology building working on vaccine development projects. Some of my interests include outdoor activities, traveling, cooking, painting, reading, and spending time with my family. I am here to help answer any questions you may have. I am happy to help and share my knowledge and experiences as your peer mentor!

Hi everybody! I’m Helina Godtlibsen, I am going into my second year at Boise State University, I plan to major in Secondary education. I am so excited to be a Peer Mentor this year and I can’t wait to work with you. I enjoy going to the river or lake and I love boba! I am also a part of OELA and a Multicultural sorority, I loved being so involved on campus! A fun fact about me is that I have a twin sister. I’m so excited for this year and I can’t wait to see what happens.

Hi everyone! My name is Tie (he/him/his) and I am going into my 3rd year at Boise State. I am majoring in computer science, with an emphasis in cybersecurity. I hope to someday start my own cybersecurity consulting firm as well as my own IT help business. I have been part of the TRIO STEM Scholars Program for 1 year. This is my first year as a peer mentor, so please be patient as I figure this out, but I’m really looking forward to helping anyone out that I can. Being a student at Boise State University has brought me so many experiences and opportunities that have changed my life and I am excited to share this all with you. I seek to help others gain those opportunities as a way of giving back and providing help. In my free time I love playing my PlayStation, working out, and hanging out with friends or just relaxing or sleeping.

Hi! My name is Breahna Mayberry (she/her/hers) and I am a sophomore majoring in nursing. My ultimate goal is to be a Nurse Practitioner working either with pediatrics or in labor and delivery. This is my second year with TRIO STEM Scholars and I’m excited to see where this peer mentoring opportunity takes me! I think it’s very important for students to feel confident and comfortable on campus and in the classes they are taking. I’m always here if you ever need help! When I’m not on campus/working on homework some of the things I enjoy include archery, reading, drawing, and traveling.

Hey! I am Brandi Moncrief (She/Her/Hers)! I am in my sophomore year of college and a Biology major. This is my first year as a peer mentor! My hobbies include going to the gym, painting/drawing, playing the viola, reading tarot cards, and playing video games. Apart from TRIO STEM, I am also a member of Boise State’s Honors College and live in the Honors dorms. I chose my major because I really enjoy plants and want to make a positive impact on my community using my research! I am always open to making new friends so don’t be afraid to say hi!
