In response to community requests to connect Boise State College of Education and Teacher Education students and alumni with private in-home teaching opportunities, we encourage employers and job seekers alike to refer to the web platform, Handshake.
Handshake is hosted by Boise State Career Services and is designed for businesses, but also allows for families to post private household employment opportunities.
To post a job opportunity on Handshake, users must first set up an account. The registration process is free and simple to get started.
1. Go to “New Employer Handshake Account” at the link below, and click “Sign Up for An Account”.
2. Follow the instructions at the link.
Tips for families posting a private teaching opportunity:
* A Facebook, LinkedIn, etc., page may be used for the website link registration requirement.
*Use the word “Tutor” and/or “Teacher” in the title of your job posting so students and alumni can easily filter to find your job opportunity.
