Educational Leadership program adjunct faculty member Lisa Roberts named as Boise School District’s first female superintendent

Long-time Boise School District educator Lisa Roberts will become the district’s first female superintendent July 1, 2024. Roberts is currently an adjunct instructor for the Educational Leadership program in the College of Education. The college offers two degree programs in Educational Leadership – the Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership, and Educational Specialist (EdS) in Executive Educational Leadership.

Rural Education Collaborative part of Carnegie Foundation Community Engagement Classification

The Rural Education Collaborative, a Vertically Integrated Program at Boise State coached by Educational Leadership Associate Professor Heather Williams, was recognized as part of Boise State’s announcement of the university’s designation as one of the 2024 Carnegie Community Engagement Classification institutions. The collaborative helps rural communities meet their educational needs by championing rural partners and helping them to identify and leverage their community strengths.
