How To Apply For Aid
Let us help you through the financial aid process. When you break it down into manageable steps and know what to expect, everything falls together so you can get the funding you need.
Start early to estimate how much it will take to fund your education. You can file the FAFSA at any time, but you need to be admitted to Boise State before we can process your aid application.
Priority dates and deadlines are important to watch so you know when to apply and what to expect. Discover if you are eligible to receive federal aid.
Other Aid Options
Some other financial aid options may require a separate application process.
After You Apply
Complete your Holds and To-Do Items
After you apply, you can avoid delays by managing your aid through your myBoiseState account. It is possible that we may need more documents or information, prior to awarding you a financial aid package. Watch your BroncoMail for updates on Holds or To-Do items.
Manage Your Aid
Once your application has been processed and is clear of Holds and To Do’s, you will receive an award notification via BroncoMail. Accept or decline the aid that is best for you.
Receive Your Aid
Disbursement is the release of aid to your student account. The earliest date funds are disbursed is 10 days prior to the start of the semester. You may still have a balance after your aid is applied. Work with our Student Financials office to set up satisfactory payments.
