Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw is a civil rights scholar who focuses on social, political, and economic experiences. She is credited with defining and exploring Critical Race Theory and the concept of intersectionality, both of which are instrumental in examining and challenging institutional oppression.
Dr. Crenshaw’s work guides our efforts– in seeing people as their whole selves, comprised a multiplicity of identities.
