Applying for most programs is a multi-step process. Please follow the instructions for the program type you have selected. Be sure to read everything carefully so that you fully understand the requirements and expectations.
Direct Exchange and ISEP
- Go to ViaTRM and create an account.
- After you create an account, meet with a GL staff member for advising (if you haven’t already done so).
- After meeting with a staff member go to your ViaTRM account, log in and apply to the program you are interested in.
- You will need to submit copies of official transcripts and your application fee (ISEP only)
- You will then need to be interviewed by GL staff before you are officially accepted to the exchange.
USAC and Partner Programs
- Go to ViaTRM and create an account.
- After you create an account, meet with a GL staff member (if you haven’t already done so).
- After meeting with a staff member go to your ViaTRM account, log in and apply to the program you are interested in. This is the first step, you are not finished.
- Then you apply to USAC or to the specific program you have selected on their website.
- We do not give home school approval for USAC until all your application materials are submitted to them.
Global Classroom (faculty-led) Programs
- Go to ViaTRMÂ and create an account
- After you create an account, meet with the faculty member leading the program (if you haven’t already done so).
- Register for the faculty member’s course.
- After meeting with a staff member, go to your ViaTRM account, log in and apply to the program you are interested in.
- You will be accepted online with ViaTRM and will have additional forms to complete.
NSE
- Meet with a  Global Learning staff member before applying.
- After meeting with a staff member, go to the NSE website, log in and apply to NSE. You must list your top three universities in order of preference and home pay or host pay.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee to NSE when you receive the link from the NSE staff. If you are accepted by a host campus and fail to pay the fee prior, your Boise State student account will be charged for the application fee.
- All NSE students will be charged an exchange fee by Boise State. Please review the billing page for more information.
