Goals
- Forge a sustainable academic collaboration between UTH and Boise State focused on preparing young entrepreneurs to design and implement tech-based start-ups.
- Develop a training program and toolkit for students interested in launching tech-based start-ups in the U.S. and in Honduras.
- Empower students to think critically about their society and their role in fostering a positive and economically viable future in their community.
Objectives
- Build a sustainable cooperation between UTH and Boise State through a team of experts who are passionate about developing young entrepreneurial minds.
- Facilitate mobility of UTH and Boise State faculty to allow for the exchange of perspectives, socio-economic contexts, opportunities and challenges for young entrepreneurs in each country.
- Design a hybrid (in person and online), cross-cultural curriculum focused on developing young entrepreneurs.
- Prepare Honduran students with business English skills for an in-person immersion experience in the U.S. and for career-long success.
- Immerse Honduran students in a weeklong mobility to Boise, Idaho focused on entrepreneurial training and mentorship with local entrepreneurs.
- Develop a toolkit for young entrepreneurs focused on value proposition through tech-based start-ups.
- Challenge students to design a business idea and to participate in a pitch competition in front of a cross-cultural panel of judges.
- Assess student learning and evaluate the program for future improvements and sustainability.
