COHS Student Services and Academic Advising
Welcome to the College of Health Sciences Student Services and Academic Advising Office
Dear Broncos,
Welcome to Spring 2023! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break.
We know the beginning of a semester is an exciting time. A few friendly reminders to support a successful semester start:
Due to a shortage in staffing, some of our advisors (and inboxes) are heavily impacted. Please do not wait to schedule an advising appointment. Advisors’ calendars can book out weeks in advance during heavy advising times. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to meet the needs of every student as well as bring new staff onboard.
If you are needing a quick meeting with an advisor, we offer drop in times via ZOOM. Please see our updated drop-in times based on your major here. Remember, drop-in times are for quick questions and are first-come, first-serve.
For our incoming new and transfer students, required advising is just around the corner. All new and transfer students are required to meet with an academic advisor prior to enrolling in second-semester classes. Be sure to check your BroncoMail for important announcements, notifications, updates and deadlines from our office as well. We will contact you as we open appointment slots for new Broncos looking to complete their required advising appointment.
Finally, we want to express our support and confidence as you embark on a new semester. A new semester means new possibilities. We know that student success is not a solitary journey and we encourage you to utilize our campus’ wonderful resources in your endeavors. Additionally, our office offers a plethora of recorded workshops and resources we’d love for you to check out. We are looking forward to meeting with you and helping you reach your academic goals.
Cheers to a wonderful, upcoming semester!
Sincerely,
COHS Advising Staff
