Please join the St Luke’s Boise Medical Center for FREE comprehensive training on Female
Genital Mutilation (FGM). Training will empower participants to undertake an appropriate and culturally sensitive risk assessment of women and girls. The training will be held on March 3rd, 2020 at the Ada Room, Anderson Center 5th Floor, 100 E. Idaho St. from 9 am – 3 pm. Drop-ins for Sessions 2 and 3 are allowed.
Session One: 9am – 11am
– Registration, coffee, networking
– Introduction to FGM, where it is practiced, and local impact
– Q&A and coffee break
Session Two: 11am – 12pm
– Health consequences of the practice of FGM to women, girls, and men
– Q&A and lunch
Session Three: 12:30pm – 1:45pm
– Undertaking an appropriate risk assessment
Session Four: 1:45pm – 3:00pm
