Data management in research is an important, emerging topic. We have certainly seen an increase in the number of federal sponsors who requirement a data management plan as part of the proposal package at the time of application.
Concise information about what data management is and how to incorporate data management techniques into a research project has been limited, until now. The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) has just released a new tool meant to serve as a primer on the topic called Research Data Management. This is a very useful resource for investigators, research staff and graduate students.Â
