Research is an exciting field that is a major influence on all of our medical advancements today. St. Luke’s has a robust research department that is dedicated to improving patient care in our community and around the world. Join us to hear from a panel of St. Luke’s Cancer Institute research employees as they discuss what it’s like to work in research!

  • Tammie Eslinger

    Tammie Eslinger

    Clinical Research Manager

    Tammie Eslinger is a Research Manager at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, focused on improving outcomes and quality of life for children and adults with cancer and blood related diseases. Tammie has committed the last 24 years to oncology research. Her career began as a Clinical Research Coordinator, primarily in pediatric oncology; then transitioned into a leadership role, overseeing all aspects of clinical oncology research at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Boise and pharmaceutical trials at the all sites. Outside of oncology, Tammie’s research experience includes conducting trials in child development, perception, and the legal field. In addition, she developed viability studies for the United States Air Force Battle labs.

    Tammie received her Bachelor of Science in psychology from Boise State University. She is a Certified Clinical Research Professional through the Society of Clinical Research Associates.

    For Tammie, research offers hope for tomorrow. Bringing that hope to others is what keeps her searching for answers.

    Karlee Bonander

    Research Project Coordinator

    I attended the University of Idaho where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. After I graduated, I began working for St. Luke’s Research as a Research Assistant in our compliance department. During that time, I expanded my administrative clinical trials knowledge which led me to apply for the Project Coordinator position at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute. I have been in this role since June 2019 and my main responsibility is to work with pharmaceutical companies in conjunction with our Providers to select clinical trials that would best fit our patient’s needs.

    Jenny Lin

    Research Regulatory Coordinator

    Jenny Lin is a Regulatory Coordinator at St. Luke’s Cancer Institute. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and has worked in research since college, her career has encompassed behavioral and clinical research. Jenny has worked at St. Luke’s for 2.5 years, as both a Clinical Research Coordinator and now Regulatory Coordinator. Her work bridges both St. Luke’s NCORP grant and industry studies.

    Sarah Goodrich

    Research Finance Analyst

    Sarah Goodrich is a Research Finance Analyst with St. Luke’s Cancer Institute. She earned a Master of Health Science in 2012 from Boise State University and has been with St. Luke’s for 4 years. She enjoys working with coordinators and physicians to make research financially feasible for our institution to increase access to our patients. Before joining the research team, Sarah worked for St. Luke’s Revenue Cycle – Insurance Recovery as a lead and trainer for 2.5 years.

    Sarah Goodrich is a Research Finance Analyst with St. Luke’s Cancer Institute. She earned a Master of Health Science in 2012 from Boise State University and has been with St. Luke’s for 4 years.     Research Compliance Coordinator

    Brooke Millward is a Research Compliance Coordinator 2 at St. Luke’s Health System. She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Health Science from Idaho State University and is a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP). She has worked in a variety of clinical and non-clinical research roles for nearly 7 years. In her current position, she oversees training and education necessary for research activities including the human subject’s research protection training program. In addition, she actively monitors research studies to ensure compliance with current laws and regulations as well as institutional policies and procedures.
