Community and Environmental Health Chair Travels to the American University of Beirut in Lebanon

Nuwayhid, Hajj, Rima, Afifi, Habib, Brooks, and Stephenson During the last week in Jan., Dr. Dale Stephenson, chair of the Department of Community and Environmental Health, was an invited guest at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. The purpose of Dr. Stephenson’s visit was to serve on a two-member external review team charged with providing academic input to a degree program leading to a Baccalaureate of Science in Environmental Health. Dr. Stephenson’s fellow member on the external review team was Dr. Bryan Brooks from Baylor University.
Dr. Stephenson’s sentiments upon return from this Middle Eastern country were that the experience served as a wonderful way to improve the training and education of future environmental health professionals on a global scale and represent Boise State University in other regions of the world.
