Uwe Reischl, professor in the Department of Community and Environmental Health, presented a research paper at the 15th International Conference on Human-Computer Interaction held in Las Vegas, Nev., July 21-26. Reischl’s paper, titled “Extending Global Education through Remote Laboratory Access,” outlined the application of Internet-based robotic control systems to online science and technology education. Use of Internet-based robotics that allows students to remotely participate in practical human factors engineering laboratory projects was highlighted.
