Three College of Health Sciences Alumni Honored by Boise State Alumni Association

Each year during Homecoming, the Boise State Alumni Association names the recipients of the Distinguished Alumni and Distinguished Alumni Service Awards.

The recipients are honored during the Distinguished Alumni Awards Gala and again during half-time of the homecoming game. The Distinguished Alumni Award honors those with outstanding professional and personal accomplishments within their chosen profession. The Distinguished Alumni Service Award honors inspirational recipients for their extraordinary dedication and commitment to volunteer service for the university and the Alumni Association.

This year’s honored alumni were honored at the gala on Sept. 19th and at the game on Sept. 20th.  Honorees from the College of Health Sciences include the following people.

  • Jim Barker, ‘74, retired, psychiatric social work for Veterans (BA social work)
