Promotion and Tenure Process Overview Series

We know how important – and confusing – the promotion and tenure process can be for faculty, especially with the rapid changes that have taken place over the last few years, including the introduction of RPT (Review, Promotion, Tenure) this year. To help demystify the process, Associate Dean Joelle Powers will host several virtual COHS P&T Process Overview sessions for anyone who is interested. Perhaps you are a faculty member who is up for promotion next year or the year after? Maybe you’re serving on the college or your department or school’s P&T committee? Maybe you’re just a curious staff member looking to learn more about this academic process? All of you are welcome to register and join a session.

In these sessions, Jo will offer a brief overview of relevant university and college policies, highlight the overall process and timeline, and what materials must be included and/or reviewed. She will leave plenty of time for questions and answers, so bring your questions with you. In order to facilitate conversation and comfort, all sessions will be limited to 25 participants.

Dates:

  • Session 2: February 7, 9-10:30am
  • Session 3: February 29, 12-1:30 pm
