Each year, PLOs are extracted verbatim from the curriculum maps and changes are provided to the administrators of the campus curriculum management system (Kuali). The PLOs are then loaded into Kuali for use in the curriculum process and the academic catalog. These PLOs are considered to be the official record.

How to update PLOs (existing programs)
Program faculty may make updates to a program’s Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) between PAR cycles, however, the updates are typically only recorded at the time the PAR is submitted.
In some circumstances, programs may have a need or reason to update PLOs outside of that process. Below are several potential reasons and the mechanism for doing so.
- PLOs may be updated in response to PAR feedback that is received. These changes can be communicated to programassessment@boisestate.edu up to November 1 of the PAR year.
- PLOs can be updated directly in Kuali when there is an associated curriculum change. Stand-alone changes to PLOs in Kuali will not be approved without a curriculum change.
- PLOs can be updated outside of the above processes in special cases which must be approved by the Vice Provost for Academic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness. These requests can be sent to programassessment@boisestate.edu.
