Sarah E. Toevs

Bio

Dr. Sarah Toevs directs the interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Aging at Boise State University. She has a doctoral degree from the University of Utah in Health Education and Promotion with an emphasis in Gerontology. Sarah is actively engaged in supporting community-based efforts to maximize quality of life for individuals of all ages and engaging students in this work. She was instrumental in establishing the Idaho Caregiver Alliance (ICA) in partnership with the Idaho Commission on Aging, the Justice Alliance for Vulnerable Adults, and the Idaho Alzheimer’s Planning Group.

Scholarship

The Center for the Study of Aging is housed in the College of Health Sciences. One of the primary goals of the Center for the Study of Aging is to serve as a conduit between the university and community. By linking professionals engaged in practice with faculty and students, the Center synergizes the growth and progress of interdisciplinary research and service to help people of all ages lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
