Bronco Card

Bronco Card is your key to campus life!

Your Bronco Card provides access to University facilities, including classrooms, residence halls, the testing center, athletic events, the REC, and more! Additionally, your Bronco Card holds funds for on-campus commerce, including print money, meal plans, and dining dollars. Need to check out a book at the Library, ride the bus, or score discounts at the Games Center and around town? Show them your Bronco Card!

To get your Bronco Card, you must be enrolled in the current or upcoming term.

Get Your Photo Ready

Photo Requirements

Use a photo that meets government-issued identification style requirements and accurately represents you.

Your photo must:

  • Be recent (taken within the last six months)
  • Show your full face and shoulders while facing the camera directly
  • Have your eyes open with a natural expression or smile
  • Be clear, in focus, and well lit
  • Include only you (no group photos, children, animals, or props)
  • Have a plain, muted, non-distracting background
  • Show your full face without items covering it, unless worn for documented religious or medical reasons

Photos should not include:

  • Hats, sunglasses, masks, or distracting accessories
  • Filters or AI-generated alterations
  • Edits that significantly change your appearance
  • Side-profile or angled views

Professional portraits:

Professional portraits (including senior photos) are acceptable if they meet all photo requirements.

Submission note:

When uploading your photo, use the cropping tool to center your face and shoulders within the required square format.

Online Process

(For distance students or anyone submitting remotely)

  1. Submit your photo online.
  2. Wait for photo approval.
  3. Complete any required account steps.
  4. Receive confirmation when your card is ready.

In-Person Process

Please stop by the Bronco Card Office, located at the Information Desk in the Westmark Student Union Building on the first floor, if you would like to have a member of our team take your photo for your Bronco Card. Please bring another form of Government-Issued Photo ID to verify your identity.

  • Once we have verified your identity, we will take your photo and print your card.
  • This process only takes a few minutes; however, wait times could vary depending on the time of year.
Pick-Up Information

Once produced, you will receive confirmation and additional instructions to pick up your Bronco Card. To pick up your Bronco Card, please bring another form of Government-Issued Photo ID to verify your identity.

  • If you are an online student, distance learner, or gap year student and live outside the greater Boise Metropolitan area, you may request your Bronco Card to be mailed to you. To start this process, please contact the Bronco Card Office.
  • New students requesting their first card or ongoing students requesting a replacement of their previous card can pick up their card from the Bronco Card Office.
  • Employee and affiliate badges will be picked up from the Bronco Card Office.
  • In the case of a campus closure, all employee and affiliate badges will be forwarded to Public Safety for you to pick up once the card is produced.
