Bronco Card

In-Person

Please stop by the Bronco Card Office, located at the Information Desk in the Student Union Building on the first floor, if you would like to have a member of our team take your photo for your Bronco Card. Please bring another form of Government-Issued Photo ID to verify your identity.

• Once we have verified your identity, we will take your photo and print your card.
• This process only takes a few minutes; however, wait times could vary depending on the time of year.

Picture Requirements

Government-Issued Identification Guidelines

A photo of your Government-Issued Photo Identification (such as driver’s license, passport, or other government-issued photo ID) is required for your Bronco Card photo to be reviewed.

*ID will be automatically deleted upon photo approval.

Photo Submission Guidelines

Photo should adhere to government-issued ID requirements.

• Full face and shoulders only, no side profile or angled view pictures
• The cardholder’s expression should be natural/smiling, with both eyes open
• No hats, caps, sunglasses, scarves, or masks
• No animals, children, props, or gestures
• A muted background against a wall with no apparent objects in the background

Replacement Photo

If you already have a Bronco Card on file and submit a new photo, this will automatically replace your existing photo.

If you want a new card printed with your new photo, please visit us at the Bronco Card Office. Printing a new Bronco Card will deactivate your old Bronco Card (including door access). Additionally, a $30 replacement fee will be due. This can be paid in person via card or billed to your student account.

LOG-IN

• Access broncocard.boisestate.edu
• Login Using Boise State Credentials

Submit Photo ID Picture

• Select “Upload Government ID”
• Load Government-Issued ID
• Crop & Rotate ID
• “Submit” Government ID

Submit Bronco Card Photo

• Select “Upload Bronco Card Photo”
• Load Photo
• Crop and Rotate Photo *The Bronco Card image is a square. Be sure to crop your image as a square and not default to the rectangle.
• “Submit” Bronco Card Photo
• Select “Submit” Photo for Approval

Once processed, you will receive an email that your photo was approved or indicating why it was rejected.

Pick-up Information

Once produced, you will receive confirmation and additional instructions to pick up your Bronco Card. To pick up your Bronco Card, please bring another form of Government-Issued Photo ID to verify your identity.

• If you are an online student, distance learner, or gap year student and live outside the greater Boise Metropolitan area, you may request your Bronco Card to be mailed to you. To start this process, please contact the Bronco Card Office.
• New students requesting their first card or ongoing students requesting a replacement of their previous card can pick up their card from the Bronco Card Office.
• Employee and visitor/affiliate badges will be picked up from the Bronco Card Office.
• In the case of a campus closure, all employee and visitor/affiliate badges will be forwarded to Public Safety for you to pick up once the card is produced.
