Layer Height
The layer height of a print determines how much detail there will be in the final product. Most printers can have a layer height ranging from 0.1mm to 0.4mm. The layer height setting can be found under the green “Quality” tab, located beneath the profile selection dropdown. Click the quality tab to dropdown the available options regarding quality.
Layer height is the first option, and already has a value that corresponds to the profile you selected earlier. Even though this value corresponds to the profile, you can still change it to whatever you would like to get out of your print. A lower layer height (0.1mm) corresponds to higher detail, and longer print times, and a higher layer height (0.38mm) corresponds to less detail, but shorter print times. 0.2-0.25mm is a standard layer height settings, with medium detail and print times. There are also many other settings in the quality tab, such as line width and top/bottom line width. Don’t worry about these settings. All of these values are calculated from other settings (mainly layer height) and should not be changed unless you absolutely know what you are doing. The only setting you should change in the quality tab is layer height.
