Gwyn Hervochon, librarian/archivist and associate professor at Albertsons Library, was invited to be a panelist as part of a workshop at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C. on May 14.
Hervochon was the project director for Boise State’s spring 2023 exhibition “The Americans and the Holocaust” as part of a nationwide tour sponsored by the U.S. Holocaust Museum and the American Library Association. Recognizing the success of Boise State’s exhibit programming, partnerships, successful engagement with the local community, and integration of the exhibition into multiple courses on campus, tour sponsors asked Hervochon to speak about Boise State’s experience and to serve as a resource for 50 future exhibition host sites from across the country.
Albertsons Library was one of 50 U.S. libraries selected as a host site in 2019 for the original “Americans and the Holocaust” nationwide traveling exhibition. Thousands of visitors attended Boise State’s exhibit and corresponding programs from March 22-April 26, 2023.
