Nicole Brun-Mercer is currently the Associate Director of the English Language Support Programs at Boise State. Dr. Brun-Mercer has taught English and trained teachers in the United States, Switzerland, France, Russia, and Guinea. She has published and presented professionally on materials development, corpus linguistics, lexicogrammar, reading, and composition. Some of her more recent presentations include “All our voices: Materials development for inclusion, diversity, and engagement,” “The plot thickens: Creating books about books to motivate readers,” and “Learner-led lessons: Tapping into student work for developing course materials.” Recent publications include “Women and men in the United Nations: A corpus analysis of General Debate addresses,” “Strategic reading activities to power up your online classroom,” and “Identifying linguistic markers of collaboration in L2 peer interaction: A lexico-grammatical approach.”
