Auditions

 

Boise State Music will offer in-person auditions for 2025. However, video auditions will always remain an option.

If you want to major or minor in music, you must complete an audition to be accepted into the Department of Music.

Please read the following information carefully to understand your audition options. You will select one option when scheduling an audition this spring for Fall 2025 admission:

In-person Audition:

February 8
8:30-9:30 Welcome Event for Students, Parents and Faculty (C125)
9:30-2:00 Music Literacy Predictive Exam (C115 lab)
9:30-12:00 Auditions
12:00-1:00 Campus Tour
1:00-4:00 Auditions

February 22
8:30-9:30 Welcome Event for Students, Parents and Faculty (C125)

April 5*
10:00-12:30 Music Literacy Predictive Exam (C115 lab)

* Percussion students, please email Dr. Kramer Milan at kramermilan@boisestate.edu if you are interested in auditioning on this date. Dr. Milan will be unavailable on April 5th and will make alternate arrangements with you directly. 

Video Submission Audition:

Video Due February 3rd: follow-up Zoom meeting with area faculty on February 8th
Video Due February 17th: follow-up Zoom meeting with area faculty on February 22nd
Video Due April 1st: follow-up Zoom meeting with area faculty on April 5th
