Head Shot of Hieu Bui

Research Engineer

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Hieu Bui joined the Nanoscale Materials and Device Group (previously known as Knowlton  Research Group) in the Fall of 2006. As an undergraduate student majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), he was involved in the MOSFET oxide reliability characterization research project. His senior design project focused on characterizing collagen-based nanowires for building bio-electronic sensors. Towards his undergraduate degree, he learned the Keithley 4200-SCS Semiconductor Characterization System, Agilent 4156C Precision Semiconductor Parameter Analyzer, and Cryogenic Electronics System. He was recognized as Micron Scholar and ECE Outstanding Graduating Senior Award. He is a member of Eta Kappa Nu Electrical and Computer Engineering Honor Society (HKN) and International Society for Nanoscale Science, Computation and Engineering (ISNSCE).

Recently, he completed a M.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. His research interest is to investigate DNA-based molecular programming and synthesis.
