Boise State University’s online business programs received new 2023 national rankings by U.S. News and World Report. Boise State’s online programs were among 1,832 programs surveyed by the organization. Only regionally accredited institutions whose programs are offered mostly or entirely online were evaluated.

- No. 24 Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs (top 9%)
- No. 58 Best Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programs (top 16%)
- No. 63 Best Online Master’s in Business Programs (Excluding MBA)
“These recognitions by U.S. News and World Report are a testament to the dedication of our exceptional faculty and staff and our continued commitment to providing high-quality online programs,” College of Business and Economics Dean Mark Bannister said. “We are proud to offer a learning environment that makes high-quality education accessible to all and prepares graduates for their future careers.”
The rankings measure overall academic quality and look closely at student excellence and engagement, technology and services available to online students, faculty credentials and training, and factor input from high-ranking academic officials. To be included in these rankings, institutions must submit their data to U.S. News — no payments or fees are ever accepted.
Boise State Online Business Program Rankings
The online Bachelor of Business Administration ranked in the top 9% nationwide out of 214 institutions surveyed for Best Online Bachelor’s in Business Programs. This program prepares students to be ethical and effective leaders and managers. Students can choose between two emphasis areas — entrepreneurship or resort operations and hospitality management — to customize their learning experience.

The online Master of Business Administration ranked in the top 16% out of 366 institutions surveyed for Best Online MBA Programs. This program allows students to advance their career, credibility and confidence in a flexible online format. Students can complete a general Online MBA or focus their degree with an emphasis in business analytics, construction management, cyber operations, finance, healthcare leadership, management or marketing leadership.

The online Master of Science in Accountancy ranked at No. 1 in the Pacific Northwest and No. 63 out of 224 institutions surveyed for Best Online Master’s in Business Programs (Excluding MBA). Dedicated to providing students with marketable skills and professional connections, this program equips students with the depth of knowledge in accounting necessary to take the CPA exam and teaches skills in financial analysis and business development.
