Heidi Ware Carlisle, education and outreach coordinator at the Intermountain Bird Observatory, presented a short course to 200 members at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. “The Wonderful World of Birdsong” dove into the history of birdsong in human culture, the anatomy that allows birds to sing, and how the knowledge of birdsong can help with protection and conservation efforts.
