Not everybody is ready to commit to a field of study when they enroll in college. If you fall into that category, Boise State University’s Online Degree Pathway is an ideal way to ease into higher education.
By offering lower-division online courses and certificates, the Online Degree Pathway is designed as a bridge to help you take your next step with multiple flexible, low-cost options to fit into your lifestyle.
You can explore subjects without committing to a program, complete prerequisite classes to prepare for upper division coursework and gain confidence as a student.
Online courses and flexible scheduling options allow you to make the most of your time as a student. You can choose between part-time and full-time study, or seamlessly switch between both.
The Online Degree Pathway allows you to adjust your academic pace as needed. With six start dates per year and courses offered in both 7- and 15-week sessions, you can tailor your education around your busy schedule.
There are three types of courses in the Online Degree Pathway program to help you work toward earning a degree. They include:
- Foundations courses prepare you for upper-division and degree-specific coursework.
- Elective courses allow you to explore your interests and satisfy lower-division credit requirements toward a degree program.
- Pre-program pathways help you bridge the gap to start in a program with admission requirements. These are based on the number of credits completed, particular foundation courses or a completed associate degree.
The Online Degree Pathway helps you continue progressing toward your goal without the need to change schools, risk dropping out or make your life fit around your educational requirements.
The program also saves you time and money because there are no set requirements. You can choose only the courses needed to achieve your goals. You enter and exit the pathway based on your needs.
