The Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) department was awarded the Boise State Graduate Dean’s Fellowship for the 2020/2021 academic year to recruit a Hispanic/Latinx Idaho resident to purse the MS in OPWL. Jazlyn Olmedo, a first-generation college graduate of Boise State, was selected for the OPWL Graduate Dean Fellowship. Jazlyn shared excitement when she heard the news by saying,
“The Graduate Dean’s fellowship means the world to me as it enables me to further my education, pass my Bachelor’s in Business Administration with an HR emphasis, where I was first in my family to graduate from college. It also will allow me to be challenged and not only provide my own experiences and skills, but gain additional, valuable ones as well. I look forward to serving my community and making them proud, while using this opportunity to grow as a person, student, and future Instructional Designer/Developer.”
Jazlyn is eager to start her MS in OPWL in Fall 2020: “My interest for the OPWL program comes from my career goals of becoming an Instructional Designer and Developer or an HR Analyst for a corporation in the future. The OPWL stood out to me as well because of their obvious support for their students as well as the valuable skills and experiences learned throughout the program.
We are excited to have Jazlyn Olmedo as a Graduate Dean fellow and look forward to Jazlyn’s involvement in the Boise State learning communities through the OPWL program.
