If you are interested in joining Dr. Chyung’s WORC team to pursue research and development activities together, please review the following information and contact Dr. Chyung via email (ychyung@boisestate.edu):

Eligibility:

  • OPWL students, graduates, and faculty members can join the current or new WORC team.
  • Other practitioners working in the OPWL-related fields can also join the WORC team.

Requirements:

  • You should have graduate-level reading and comprehension, and writing skills.
  • You should be committed to spending a minimum of 3 hours per week for at least 16 consecutive weeks (a semester-long period).
  • You should be self-directed and interested in pursuing research and development activities in the OPWL context.
  • You should be able to communicate with other members via email (weekly) and teleconference system such as Zoom or Hangouts (once every 3-4 weeks).

Participation method:

  • You may participate in WORC activities as a volunteering researcher (no credit).
  • You may participate in WORC activities by enrolling in a minimum of one-credit course:

    • You will work closely with Dr. Chyung to design and execute your thesis research.
    • You will also work with other thesis committee members while completing your thesis research.
    • So, basically, you are pursuing workplace-oriented research with Dr. Chyung as your thesis advisor and other thesis committee members in a team environment.
