Submissions for the Creative Non-Fiction category are open to one work of creative nonfiction completed for coursework in the last calendar year. Submissions should not exceed 20 pages. Dillon Haws wrote the 1st place submission in the Creative Nonfiction Category for the 2016 President’s Writing Awards.
About John
John Barrie is a Junior English major with a Creative Writing emphasis. John has always loved to tell stories, and hopes to pursue an MFA somewhere in the northwest after he graduates from Boise State. When John isn’t writing, he preaches the three gospels: Dungeons and Dragons, spicy food, and support for the local writing community. John is a three-time President’s Writing Awards winner, and has read for Prefort, Storyfort, and the Boise Weekly Fiction 101 contest.
