[Event Highlight] Wildfire Smoke Symposium Registration

November 14, 2022

$50

Registration for the Center for Excellence in Environmental Health and Safety’s Third Annual Rocky Mountain Regional Wildfire Smoke Symposium is currently open! Registration will close at 5:00 PM MST on Sunday, November 13.

If you are a student or work with students interested in submitting an abstract for a lightning presentation on any air quality topic (not just wildfire smoke), you can find more information about the event at the Center for Excellence in Environmental Health and Safety Website. The deadline for abstract submission is TOMORROW November 3 by 11:59 PM MDT. Students can attend the symposium for free!

This year’s symposium will be virtual and will focus on community resilience. Following a keynote address from Dr. Richard Kwok at NIEHS, various speakers will discuss community engagement and strategies for communication, as well as sustainable programs and improved infrastructure for better air quality. There will also be a breakout session on the risk-risk tradeoffs of prescribed burning.

More information on speakers, schedule, and registration can be found here.
